H7 Story: Small Things Make a Big Impact

Every Monday and Thursday morning, a few different groups of ladies gather at the office of First Christian Church to volunteer their time and talent to help with various administrative tasks. They all share a common passion for serving the body of Christ and making a difference in their community.
Debbie Hayes acts as the Admin Coach and has been leading the group for over a year. She has a warm and welcoming personality that makes everyone feel at ease. Debbie often spends 10-15 hours a week to ensure that our records are well-kept and organized and encourages and helps others on the team do the same. There are also several ladies who volunteer their time at home doing behind-the-scenes work that no one ever sees.

As a multi-site church with three campuses and many different ministries, the ladies work hard, performing various administrative duties that help keep the church intentional in shepherding and caring for the people of FCC. They take their work seriously and approach it with purpose and dedication.

Yet, it's not all about work. The ladies also cherish their time together, using it to share life and discipleship. They often pause their tasks to chat and catch up on each other's lives. When heavy burdens are shared, they unite in prayer and offer words of encouragement. It's more than just a service to the church; it's a time of fellowship and friendship, a time to refresh their spirits and strengthen their bond as followers of Jesus.

The admin ladies who volunteer their time throughout the week at First Christian Church embody the spirit of servant leadership. They remind everyone that even the small things can make a big impact for the Kingdom of God.

If you find yourself with some extra time and a desire to serve in this meaningful way, we encourage you to reach out to Debbie Hayes or Kelly Radank. They will be more than happy to guide you through volunteering at First Christian Church.
