H7 Story: Life Group is our Family

Life Groups are, of course, about PRAYER and the WORD OF GOD. But the third (and incredibly vital) part of every Life Group is RELATIONSHIP. Each Life Group spends a minimum of 30 minutes around the table, sharing food, catching up, connecting about life, and building meaningful relationships.

We encourage Life Groups to have fun together and care for one another well because they are designed to be the front lines of connection, relationship building, and personal/pastoral care. Each Group figures out what works best for how to make this work!

The Nickle/Wells Life Group formed shortly after the launch at South Greene. They have grown to be the largest Life Group at South Greene and are a tight knit group of friends, who do more than just meet once a week, they do life together.

Brant and Linda Fitzpatrick reiterated this when they shared that it was the ability to talk to other people and share their prayer requests that really resonates with them in their Life Group. Check out their video below:
Many of us don’t live near our biological family, and we need surrogate members to stand with us. David and Dawn Wells have found that from their Life Group peeps as you will see in their short video:
In the case of Laz and Helen Balogh, they were actually joined their Life Group before they joined FCC, and it helped them assimilate into our church community easier.
Ken and Carla Nickle tie all of this together when they share that all of these amazing people come together to expand on the sermon and reiterate Sunday’s message.
If you are not already in a Life Group, we have one simple question for you: WHY NOT?
