H7 Story: Behind the Scenes Faithfulness

At FCC, our facilities team works tirelessly behind the scenes. Their commitment and hard work often go unnoticed, but we want to recognize their incredible efforts and commitment to the mission.
Led by the remarkable Harry Hayes, who volunteers his time, our team consists of a diverse group of dedicated individuals who have taken our building's maintenance to the next level. This year, we have witnessed a significant shift in our team's focus as we decentralized responsibilities, assigning tasks to various team members. By doing so, we have seen an increased "equipping of the saints," allowing everyone to contribute their skills and make a meaningful impact on our church community.
Bill Colley leads the mowing team, ensuring our outdoor spaces are beautifully maintained and creating a welcoming environment for all who visit.
Tommy Tipton diligently manages our emergency light systems, keeping us safe and prepared during challenging situations.
Noah Ditto and Earl Stanley regularly inspect and maintain our fire extinguishers, and Mike Mather inspects the elevators, prioritizing the safety of our congregation.
Jimmy Crump ensures that our baptistry is in perfect condition, ready for the special moments of identifying with Christ in Baptism.
Ryan Hudson plays a vital role in caring for our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are reliable for church activities and outreach programs.
However, Harry Hayes, our team lead and jack-of-all-trades, ensures that no need for the building goes unresolved. Whether it's a minor repair, a major maintenance project, or handling unexpected emergencies, Harry's dedication and expertise shine through as he manages various responsibilities. His passion for our church's mission is deeply ingrained in everything he does, and his leadership sets a shining example for the rest of the team.
Our facilities team's mission is clear: to support and maintain our church building so that we can effectively Help People Find and Follow Jesus. These selfless individuals are a just a few of a larger group of volunteers who invest their time and energy to ensure that our church building remains a place for all who seek spiritual growth and community.
We are immensely grateful for each member of our facilities team, from their expertise to their unwavering dedication. Their hard work may often go unseen, but their impact resonates throughout our church community. So, if you see a member of our facilities team, take a moment to express your appreciation and gratitude. Let's celebrate these faithful servants, who play an instrumental role in helping us fulfill our mission of Helping People Find and Follow Jesus.
