H7 Story: Celebrating 1 year at South Greene
Today marks a significant milestone for First Christian Church (FCC) as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of our third campus at South Greene High School. It has been an incredible journey filled with blessings, growth, and transformation, and we are thrilled to reflect on the impact made in the lives of our members and the community.
Just as we have experienced at the Greeneville and Afton campuses, since the launch of our South Greene campus, we have been blessed to welcome guests from the community nearly every week. The welcoming atmosphere of our church have provided an inviting place to equip people to grow, serve, and to join our mission of producing producers who keep our community strong!
During this past year, God's goodness and glory have been evident, as 19 individuals chose to become members of our church family, 11 of those also Identified with Christ in baptism. Each new member represents a unique story of personal transformation and a commitment to grow in their relationship with Christ.
One of the most exciting developments at our South Greene campus has been the formation of five new Life Groups. These small, intimate gatherings at each campus have become a place of shepherding, where members can connect, support, and grow together in their faith. The establishment of these groups has fostered a sense of community and belonging, allowing individuals to experience the love of Christ in a more personal and meaningful way.
FCC has made a significant impact in the community even before our launch in Oct 2022. FCC was asked by the school admin to lead at the Prayer Walk to begin the school year and also the annual "Meet Me At the Pole." This event encourages students from local schools to gather around their school's flagpole and pray together for their peers, teachers, and the overall welfare of the school. This past summer when tragedy struck the SG community, FCC was able to minister to the community through prayer, support and counseling. Additionally, SG Life Groups played a role in supporting the community by paying the balance for school lunches for children who cannot afford them.
As we celebrate this milestone, it is essential to acknowledge the role that prayer and encouragement have played in the success of our South Greene campus. The entire FCC family has been united in praying for the launch, providing unwavering support, and actively participating in this new chapter of our church's history.

We celebrate the growth we have witnessed, the lives transformed, and the community that has been built.
