H7 Story: We are FOR Greene County
Recently, FCC volunteers have had many opportunities to serve our community in our local high schools. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the beginning of the school year a wonderful experience for the teachers, the students, and their parents. We are excited to be a part of loving our community in these ways. We are FOR Greene County because God is for Greene County!
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our community and show them we are FOR them.
- Chuckey Doak High School (CDHS) Teacher’s Luncheon: A group of volunteers prepared and fed the teachers, and gave them a small gift as they began the year.
- Each week, guys volunteer at CDHS Football games: Four guys ran chains for the football games.
- Tommy Staggs, Afton Campus Pastor, gave a workshop on Leadership to the CDHS coaches.
- Teacher’s Breakfast at South Greene High School (SGHS): Volunteers provided and served breakfast for teachers on their first day.
- Volunteers painted a classroom at SGHS
- Professional Training Day at SGHS: All teachers, from elementary to high school county-wide, converged at South Greene High School. FCC volunteers provided sound and tech support, while others handed out programs and cleaned up after the event.
- Prayer Walk at SGHS: A community prayer event led by Bob Radank, Campus Pastor, where participants came together for prayer teachers and students.
- Greeneville High School Teacher’s Retreat: Volunteers provided lunch for teachers.
- Bob and Tommy, Campus Pastors at each campus, also act as the Football chaplains. Each week, they give a devotion to the team before practice, and pray with the team before games.
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our community and show them we are FOR them.
