H7: Tell the Story - “People! Sign up for South Greene!”

The Kemmanns joined us as members just a few months ago. Volker, his wife Birgit, and their daughter Nilla happily attend the more central Greeneville campus where they attend at and/or serve in re:gen, 180, and Pillar. Volker Kemmann stated about their welcome into FCC,
“When we came to FCC Greeneville earlier this year, we felt welcomed by those serving there and also liked the nice facilities, but we were most impressed by the mission to ‘help the people in Greene County…’ and how it was lived by the many who showed their commitment in serving.”
However, being aware of the South Greene launch happening in October, they were trying to decide between campuses. Greeneville. South Greene. Greeneville. South Greene.

The Sunday they filled out their first Multisite Response Card, they came to Greeneville to worship. Campus Pastor Tyson Hodge showed the congregation the numbers of those committed to Greeneville. They were behind the other campuses. That sealed the deal! The Kemmanns confidently selected Greeneville on their first Multisite Response Card.
“But the thoughts would not leave,”
Volker and Birgit recalled,
”didn’t we want the extra challenge of outreach in this new location? Weren’t there already several weeknights that we spent at the Greeneville campus for re:gen, 180, and Pillar?”
They had settled on Greeneville, but South Greene carried on in their minds. Many of us can relate. They continued to Worship and Serve at Greeneville but were drawn to helping their friend Bob Radank, Campus Pastor of South Greene, with the launch in whatever ways they could.
It happened that one recent Sunday, Bob needed all of the help available to host an All-Campus Worship Night at South Greene. The Kemmanns came to help clean, set up, and serve food to the folks coming to see what this new campus was like. Greeneville vs. South Greene still played in their minds. And then Tyson, their very own Greeneville campus pastor, called out to all who were putting tables away,
“People! Sign up for South Greene!”
So after a quick agreement between the three of them, the Kemmanns signed their second Multisite card, this time picking South Greene. They're so excited to serve and thankful that God, hint by hint, helped them to make this decision.
