H7 Story: We are For Greene
When we became a multi-site church, we began intentionally investing in the schools that graciously allow us to hold services on their campuses each Sunday: Chuckey-Doak High School (CDHS), home of our Afton Campus; South Greene High School (SGHS), which hosts our South Greene Campus; and, beginning this year, West Greene High School (WGHS), where we will launch a new campus in February 2027. And don't worry—we haven't forgotten Greeneville High School (GHS)!
Read on to learn about the ways we are investing in and serving these four Greene County high schools.
GHS Activities
We had the opportunity to treat the GHS faculty and staff to lunch from Opie's Pizza Wagon, complete with all-you-can-eat pizza. Becky Randles did an outstanding job organizing the event. Many teachers commented that it was one of the best lunches we have ever provided. We continue to be grateful for the opportunity to encourage and support the GHS staff.

SGHS Activities
This year marked our very first Senior Breakfast at SGHS. Nearly 30 volunteers from FCC South Greene prepared and served a wonderful breakfast to celebrate the Class of 2026. Longview Ranch interns and a group of young adults also helped with the event. The interns spent time talking with students about opportunities to work at the camp, hoping to recruit some of the graduating seniors.
Another exciting development was the addition of Emily Ford as Outreach Coordinator. She led both the Senior Breakfast and a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on the last day of the school year. Principal Lori Wilhoit not only allowed but encouraged Bob to speak to the seniors and share a word of encouragement from Scripture. Following the breakfast, several young adults had meaningful gospel conversations with students.

WGHS Activities
Even before officially becoming part of the West Greene community, we have begun building relationships through the high school. In May, we served Top Choice BBQ to the teachers and staff at WGHS. Members of the future launch team for the West Greene campus were on hand to serve and connect with the faculty. Michael Moore and his children also helped by providing their delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade.
The staff expressed tremendous gratitude, and our volunteer team enjoyed serving together while communicating a simple message to the community: we are for them.

CDHS Activities
Since 2019, we have partnered with the Chuckey-Doak Guidance Department to provide a memorable meal and celebration for the graduating class. Our goal has always been simple: to honor these students, celebrate their accomplishments, and provide a meaningful capstone to their high school journey.
This year's luncheon was held at our Greeneville Campus and welcomed graduating seniors, faculty, and staff. What many students have come to know as a "fancy meal" is actually the result of countless hours of planning, preparation, and service from a dedicated team of volunteers.
Pennie and Greg Nunn led this year's effort, and their leadership was exceptional. They recruited and coordinated a team of more than 20 volunteers, oversaw every detail, and helped create an event marked by excellence and genuine hospitality. Many of our volunteers have served at this event every year since its inception, making it a tradition they eagerly anticipate each spring.
