H7 Story: Team Ball # 5
“When I received the game ball, I knew it wasn’t just for me as a husband, father, Kids Ministry coach, or resident,” Brandon Ivy explained. “It was for the sacrifices my wife and kids make so I can do what I do. It was for every Kids Ministry volunteer who gives their time and energy to pour into the next generation. They are investing in something eternal, shaping young hearts to know and follow Jesus. This is what we are called to do, not just as individuals, but as a church family, working together to build God’s Kingdom through the lives of these children.”
And that is what Brandon Ivy has been doing. Whether it is his involvement in the FCC Residence Program or his leadership in the South Greene Kids Ministries, he is one of our leading all-around-go-to-guys for various projects associated with FCC and primarily those things connected with our South Greene campus.
Pastor Bob Radank explained why Brandon was chosen for this particular ball when he said, “Brandon has grown so much over the years. He gladly accepts feedback and desires to grow through prayer and Bible Study. As he has listened and followed through on the feedback he has received, he has grown exponentially.”
Brandon shared that what he loves most about FCC is the leadership and vulnerability spread throughout every one of FCC’s teams. “This isn’t just a social gathering, it’s a mission. Every person, whether they’re serving behind the scenes or standing on stage, plays an equally vital role in helping people find and follow Jesus.”
He went on to say that he loves serving because it allows him to be part of something greater than himself. “If I can contribute in any way to further the Kingdom of God, I will take that opportunity every time. Serving isn’t just something I do, it’s part of who I am. Ministry is interwoven with my life and my family’s life; it shapes our purpose and our daily walk with Christ. I once heard in an interview, ‘Ministry isn’t just what we do; it’s who we are,’ and that truth has stayed with me ever since. There is no greater joy than knowing that through serving, we are leading others to Jesus and walking in the calling He has placed on our lives.”
Thank you Brandon for making your ministry part of who YOU are. We have been so blessed by you following the Lord’s calling on your life.
