H7 Story: Making a Splash
If you didn't catch Splash a few weeks ago, you missed out on an amazing week! We had nearly 100 kids join us and the kids had an absolute blast. Splash was definitely a success. Kids were challenged to love Jesus even more. In fact, one boy put his trust in Jesus during the week, and four kids have had conversations about following Christ in baptism since Splash. How incredible is that?
Throughout the week, the kids had a blast exploring all sorts of activities and learning some seriously awesome new skills, such as karate, cooking, soccer, art, music, and STEM. But Splash wasn't just about having fun and learning cool stuff; it had a deeper purpose. Each day, we focused on different aspects of following Jesus, with daily themes like "Do What Jesus Says," "Believe Who Jesus Is," and "Love Who Jesus Loves."
We can't thank our volunteers enough for being the true heroes of the week. Splash would not have been possible without our incredible team of nearly 60 dedicated volunteers. They taught small groups, helped kids learn new skills, made delicious snow cones, created foam-filled adventures, provided security, prepped materials, and helped in at least a thousand other things. They truly went above and beyond!
One volunteer, Mark Brzuchalski even took a whole week off work just to give his time to Help kids Find and Follow Jesus. Talk about dedication! We're so grateful for these everyday, boring faithful servants.
It was truly a special week, and we can't wait for the next one.
