H7: Pinckleys in Portugal

Paul and Debbie Pinckley serve as missionaries in Portugal and recently sent out their latest prayer letter. It is encouraging to see the work the Lord is doing through them. Here are some of the highlights:

Through the Lord's provision they were able to repaint and repair some much needed work on the Library. While they were visiting friends they learned that they could help stock their library with books from ChristianBooks.com for free. They were blessed with 200 free christian books in the Portuguese language.
They are encouraged by growth in their church. They usually have 12-14 attendees from many countries and a few local people as well. They often have visitors come especially during the summer season. Their men and women bible study groups are growing as well and they are encouraged by this. Since their last letter they have also added a Movie night to their programing and were encouraged by the turn out for these. They showed Tortured for Christ and Redeeming Love. Both of these movies have a very good message of devotion to God and His unfailing love for us.

Debbie recently was in Florida to visit her parents and flew back to Portugal in April.

A way that we can bless the work the Pinckleys are doing is to get on amazon.es (Amazon Spain) and order some books, new or used, and have them sent to:

Paul Pinkley
Rua de Botelho 29 R/C,
Tavira, 8800-319, Portugal.
In many cases shipping is free.

Thank you for praying for the Paul and Debbie Pinckley. Here are some specific prayer requests that they sent out, not only for themselves but also for some of their church members.

The Pinckleys:
  • We pray for wisdom to know what needs to be said and the courage to say what is necessary.

  • That we seek effective approaches we can take to reach out to our community.
  • For Those providing financial support for the library will choose to continue.
  • We pray that The Spirit will continue to help us build relationships in the community.

  • Pray for continued healing, following Paul’s shoulder surgery.
