H7 Story: Faithfully Following Jesus

Over the last few weeks, Greene County Schools gave awards to students at local schools for character. Another super cool award called the “Doer of the Word" was awarded to Seniors at each High School.” What’s even cooler is that a handful of FCC Students were the recipients of these awards as they represented Christ in their schools. We are so excited to see our Greeneville area students loving Jesus and representing Him in their daily lives. We are also blessed to see that this made a difference and was valuable enough to be recognized by their school, peers, and community. They are being followers of Jesus even while facing opposition.

The “Doer of the Word” award is based on James 1:22-2: “ But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.”
This award is from a public school and is a peer-recognition award given to the senior who best exemplifies these verses. A huge congrats to the following amazing seniors! What a huge accomplishment to run this incredible race!
