H7 Story: Faithful Service

For the last 4 years, Jamie Kilgore has faithfully served as our Worship Leader/Coach at our FCC Greeneville campus. This Sunday, May 21, marks his last official Sunday in that role. Jamie has been such a blessing and joy to know and work with in his service here at FCC! He’s not only fantastically talented, a monster singer, and an amazing guitar player, but leads with an extremely humble spirit.

He always leads his team very well in front and behind the scenes and in a way that gives glory only to Jesus and not to himself. In his time as the Greeneville worship leader, he’s shown his willingness to grow and always be flexible. We also want to thank his wife, Brooke, and son, Jett, for sacrificially sharing him with us these last 4 years. It’s a big commitment he’s had as worship leader, and they have always been gracious in allowing him to share a big portion of his time with FCC.

By the way - The Kilgores are expecting their second child this September, so be sure to congratulate them when you see them, as well as thank Jamie for his faithful service here at FCC.

See what those who have served with Jamie have to say:

“God Bless Jamie and his family♥️ To me, Jamie's talent and skill was matched only by his heart for worship. He always has a smile on his face and displays a welcoming spirit. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve under his leadership. He will be greatly missed.”
-Allen Nance

We are extremely blessed to have Jamie for the season we did as our fearless leader. Dude has a great heart and a great personality. I'm grateful for the help I regularly received from him and the loads of fun we always had at practice because of him. Losing him is a major downer, but I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for him next!”
-Wesley News

“It has been an absolute pleasure to be around Jamie in the years that I have been playing. Not only is he a fantastic leader, he is also an amazing friend. From leading us on stage to just talking about the little things in our lives. He genuinely loves us and we love him! It has been a great 4 years and I expect plenty of visits!”
-Evan Miller

“I'm so thankful for Jamie's leadership, consistency, and talent. Jamie's confidence in leading gave me confidence in singing, and I’m so thankful for this special time getting to know him, and most importantly worshipping our Father! I've enjoyed watching his growth, and especially loved hearing how much he loves his wife and son! It has been a pleasure to work with Jamie. We will miss him, but we know God will continue to use him as he serves and leads his family! God bless you, friend!”

“Since joining the FCC family, Jamie quickly became one of my closest friends and mentors. It was truly an honor to play with him these last 2 years and Ican’t wait to see what the future has in store for him!”
-Jack Brown

“Jamie's musical gifts were impressive even as a Sunday school student many years ago. He makes the difficult look easy and the complicated fun. Today and in the future it is our prayer that he becomes the greatest worship leader of our time.”
-Lynn Doty

“To know Jamie is to love him! His kind and welcoming personality reassure new team members that "everything is gonna be ok." He has a way that makes others feel comfortable when they have doubts about their ability. His tremendous God-given gift of music is on full display as he leads worship each week, but the most awesome thing about Jamie is his heart for praising and worshipping God. He loves God and wants others to know Him. I'm sure going to miss him (and his sneakers) each week.  I am so thankful for him! It has been a pleasure to serve with him and I know God will continue to use him mightily.”
-Brett Purgason

“It's always a blessing to serve alongside a worship leader like Jamie who balances both God-given talent and humility. Though I'm still new to the team, it has been a fantastic experience to share the worship stage with him.”
-Peyton Garland

“I really appreciate that Jamie always seems very relaxed and at ease with whatever is happening in practice or service. He is extremely talented, yet very humble, which is rare in today's world. I am sad to see him go. Thank you Jamie for your faithfulness to God and for serving the church in leading us to worship every week through these past years.”
-Kim Bailey

“Since day one, singing with Jamie, we just gelled! Blending with him came naturally! You don't find that everyday! That made helping lead worship, flow very easily! Jamie has been faithful to the task of Helping People Find and Follow Jesus the past 4/5 years through worship at FCC Greene.

Jamie, You will never know the true impact you had on lives for the kingdom this side of heaven. But, I do know it was all worth it! Lives have been changed! Jamie you are big part of that!!
You allowed God to lead through you! Thank you for your vulnerability and fun loving spirit!
It will not be the same without you! With everything there is a beginning and an end. Now you are called to serve and focus on your growing family! And what an amazing family you get to lead! Thank you Jamie for your faithful service, your heart for worship, and friendship! Brooke and Jett thank you for sharing your husband and daddy with us the past several years!
Love you all Big!”
