H7 Story: A Friendly Church

Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
—Romans 15:7
At First Christian Church, we are intentional in reflecting the grace of God to us in how we welcome our guests. This is why we call everyone who attends any of our environments—whether a first-timer or a thousandth-timer—a "guest" and not a "visitor" because visitors are often just "passing through" and guests are people for whom you "praypare!"

So when a new guest fills out a Guest Survey form, there is often a comment about how friendly people were and how welcomed they felt. From the moment a guest arrives at FCC, they are greeted by everyday boring faithful volunteers who are #ForGreene and sold-out to serving our community! Our goal is that, on everyone's first visit, they are welcomed with warm smiles, firm handshakes, and, of course, a fresh cup of recently and locally roasted Catalyst Coffee!

Check out some recent feedback from new guests...
“Thank you for making me, my husband, and daughter feel so welcome and like we belong.”

Thanks for making me… us feel at home.”

Another commented how much it meant to her to have someone walk out to greet her with an umbrella. (It's especially cool when it's one of our youngsters on the Team! Well done, Liam! (You too, Bob. Good job posing for the pic.))50202045736202020allCategories
