H7 Story: Team Ball Recipient # 1

It has become a tradition for us every year at the Team Bash to recognize 7 FCCers who embody our Team Code by giving them a game ball signed by all the Staff and Elders. If you’re not familiar with the practice, when someone hits some sort of career milestone or they have a particularly amazing game, they often will get the game ball, so we do the same each year to recognize their outstanding dedication to serve on the team!

Team Code Maxim #1 says, “We enjoy the fellowship of mutual surrender to the mission.” Ainsley Ford was the recipient of the 2023 Team Code Maxim # 1 football. A member since 2017, Ainsley has volunteered in several different areas. In 6th grade, she began serving on the Guest Team. In 7th Grade, she served on the Tech Team. Also in 7th grade, she also began serving in Sunday Kids, where she is still currently faithfully serving every week. As soon as FCC began a Monday night Kids program for re:Gen, Ainsley was one of the first to sign up to help. In 9th Grade, she applied to be a part of the  Student Leadership Team and continues to serve among her peers. She often serves on the Worship Team at the Wednesday Night Student meeting. Just in case she missed anything, she recently joined the Resident team as a Junior Resident, where she trains for ministry. In case you hadn't noticed, this girl loves to be serving in any way she can.

Ainsley Ford was nominated for this award by multiple ministry leaders, who couldn't say enough about her willingness to serve (made obvious in the list above). One of those nominations said: “She's always consistent, always willing, never complaining, and always brings her A-game. She's never the squeaky wheel. I can't count the number of times I've texted her at odd hours to ask a favor and she, without fail, responds, ‘No problem. I'd be happy to.’"
Another one said: “Since we launched Afton, she has been consistent in setting up, cleaning up, and serving in kids. She has been a huge part of launching Monday night kids as a ministry and not just babysitting. She was also a big part of the SG launch team. She's just always willing, faithful, and amazing. Our ministry will be sad when she leaves for college! Can we just convince her to stay?!”

It is so cool to see our "church kids," faithfully serving, loving Jesus, and living on mission to Help People Find and Follow Jesus. Way to go, Ainsley!
