2022 Christmas Giving Catalog

2022 Christmas Giving Catalog

2 Corinthians 9:10 — He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

At First Christian Church, Habit #5 is “Pursue Generosity!” So this Christmas season, we are encouraging FCCers to sow toward Kingdom advance by providing a catalog of opportunities for doing a project together. So get with someone—whether as friends, a couple, a family, or even as a Life Group—and share with those in need.

Choose from this list of projects and opportunities and work together to give to local community outreaches, FCC missionaries, or other programs like Operation Christmas Child.

When you’re done, make sure to let us know what you did because we want to tell the story of how God is working through your generosity! If it’s a Life Group project, contact Chris Oakes, Life Groups Director, with details of what you did, at chris@fccgreene.org. For non-Life Groups (individual, couple, family, etc.,) email Kelly Radank, Admin/Comms Director, at kelly@fccgreene.org.

The Barnes, missionaries in the Czech Republic – Crossroads Community Center and Library

The purpose and ministry of the Crossroads Center located in the capital city of the Czech Republic is to provide a place -- a "third space" including a lending library, where anyone (believers, seekers and observers) can come and access information and resources related to Christianity and the Bible. The library contains resources designed to encourage and enable users to investigate the validity of the Christian faith, to gain a greater understanding of biblical truth, and to develop and grow in their spiritual journey and personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

What they need:
  • Donations for their Library remodel:
The expansion has begun with walls being removed, reinforcements being made, ventilation channels being dug and drilled, and the sub-floor to the basement has been poured -- and so things are really taking shape. Assuming that they have the funds needed to complete the work, they remain hopeful they will be able to open the doors of the cafe and new space in March of next year.
