H7 Story: The South Greene Dream Becomes Reality
Sometime around 2016-2017, as our multisite vision emerged, we wondered about the possibility of portable setup-and-cleanup at local high schools where full-time Campus Pastors could lead our congregation to reach out to those schools and the surrounding community. Could it be that God might answer our hopes and prayers to creatively make more space for more people to find and follow Jesus?!
So it is no exaggeration to say that a third campus at South Greene has been a dream in the hearts of FCCers for years, (though not quite all of them!)! Turns out, by God’s providence, that Bob and Kelly Radank, who had been serving as missionaries in Germany for 10 years, found themselves in the middle of nowhere East Tennessee wondering about their future! As we were praying and discussing who might be Campus Pastor at our new South Greene location, God closed the door for the Radanks to return to Germany and brought them to FCC!
In mid-2021, plans to launch the SG campus in the fall were underway, but Covid and some other factors pushed that date back to the fall of 2022. As He always does, God had a plan that was far above our plans, and some amazing things happened in that year of waiting for this special Launch Day.
In the fall of 2021, Bob began visiting and building relationships with the South Greene High School Principal, Assistant Principal, teachers, faculty, football team, and students, and now, he is considered “family.” This past Fall, Bob became the football team Chaplain, where he gets to share something from God’s Word with the players and coaches every Friday!
But letting the South Community know that we are #ForGreene didn’t start and doesn’t stop with Bob. Many “everyday boring faithful” FCC servants have spent time, effort, and money on quite a few outreach events and projects! Check out some of the cool ways FCCers have served over the past year:

Friends, today and every week as we join across three campuses to worship our Savior and continue His Kingdom work. Don't forget this is a culmination of years of prayers, hundreds of hours of work, and God’s grace and sovereign working in our lives to bring us to this special day. Thank you for your "everyday boring faithfulness" that helps keep us focused on our mission of Helping People Find and Follow Jesus!
