Tell the Story: "Friendsgiving"

"Friendsgiving"

This past Monday night at re:gen, people just like you who come from different backgrounds and stories, but who all need God’s grace, came together to share a Friendsgiving meal. Re:gen is not just a place to experience the grace that God freely provides as we walk through a 12 step-discipleship program, but is also a place where lasting friendships are made.

It was a beautiful evening of remembering all that God has done for us and giving Him praise.
Jess Hudson shared what "Friendsgiving" meant to her.

"Last night at Re:generation, I sat in a large room full of people like this. People who have helped God transform my life, give me back some hope, & helped me heal in ways that I never thought possible. We had our first friendsgiving event & I was just overwhelmed with all the feels. I was incredibly thankful to have a place where I feel like I belong. A place where people see my flaws & brokenness & they try to understand it & have compassion for it, instead of judgement. A place where people genuinely love you as you are & meet you where you are. No hurt is too big or too small. A place where people genuinely want to know how you are & don't just ask because it's the thing to do. You know in your heart that it's safe to share & when you share, someone is going to pray over the things for you.

I still have so much growing & learning to do but I am so thankful to be apart of a community where I can do this safely & know that God's hand is in it all. 💞

Recovery is for all! Come sit with me!" 💞
