Section Memory Verse:
Psalm 67:1-2 – 1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, 2 that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.

Series Goal:
To show that God’s global purpose is not a NT innovation but a deep OT theme sung by Israel, where covenant blessing,
worship, and salvation are always oriented toward the nations and ultimately fulfilled in Christ.

God never blesses His people so they can retreat inward like a well-furnished private home with the curtains drawn. He blesses them so they function like a city set on a hill—lit, visible, and oriented outward. The Psalms teach that worship is the lighting of the city and proclamation is the light spilling beyond its walls. A city that hoards light betrays its purpose. Each week returns to this image from a different angle: light received, declared, made public, and shared by all peoples.
