Charity Damrau first came to FCC in 2020 after serving in children’s ministry for 20 years at other local churches. First helping in nursery as a teenager and later volunteering with preschoolers as a young mom, Charity felt the pull to pursue ministry and left her work in tech in 2008. Over the next 12 years, she balanced part-time ministry and full-time motherhood, which is obviously easy to do. She and the Damrau crew lead a week for kids at Appalachian Christian Camp each summer, and they help serve with several community organizations. Charity lives on a small farm in Bowmantown with her husband Matt and five high school and college-aged children. She enjoys gardening, reading, and baking.
