Elder
Mark has been a follower of Christ for more than 47 years. He has been a part of
First Christian Church since 2010. He is married to Beth Anne and they have
3 grown children, one son-in-law, and one daughter-in-law. Mark and Beth Anne’s parents were foreign missionaries in Indonesia and Venezuela so they were both raised on the mission field, (and they even knew each other from a very early age! Word is Mark pursued Beth Anne for quite a while, but to no avail. Perseverance works, boys!) Mark attended Moody Bible Institute and seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in preparation for full-time ministry, but the Lord called him to work in business with Aon Hewitt, with whom he has been employed since 1996. He served as a church planting Pastor for 4 years with Comunidad Cristiana Hispana in Mundelein, IL, and was part of the Circle Community Church for 10 years in Orlando, FL, serving as Worship Leader, Deacon, and teacher. He has used his gifts in many areas here at FCC in the past: Worship, Preaching/Teaching, Youth Small Group Leader, Next Steps Table Host/Facilitator
