Why We Give

We believe that the pursuit of generosity, as part of a local church, is a habit that reflects the grace of God given to us and that extends His Kingdom! When we pool our resources together, as a church, we can do more together to impact our community and world than separately.

Text-to-Give*

Text-to-Give is as secure as online giving. Just the word “give” to 423-639-0126 and follow the instructions to set up a giving profile (only needs to be done once).

Cash/Check*

At our worship services, you can put your cash/check in an offering box/bucket. If you can’t make it to a worship service, you can mail it to First Christian Church, 1130 Temple St, Greeneville, TN 37745, or bring it into the Office at our Greeneville location and put it in the black box marked “Offering”.

*Designated Gifts: This church is a 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are made with the understanding that the church retains full authority, administration, and discretion to apply donated funds to any use that furthers its religious and charitable purposes.
When a donor indicates a preference for a particular ministry, program, project, or other purpose, the church will make reasonable efforts to honor that preference. However, any designation, selection, or memo is understood to be a donor preference and not a restriction on the use of the gift. If circumstances change, the designated purpose is fully funded, an overage exists, or the church determines that another use would better further its religious and charitable purposes, the church retains discretion to redirect or use the funds for another purpose consistent with its exempt purposes. This understanding applies to all giving, including gifts given in response to specific requests or capital campaigns.
